
Monitored 24/7 we are out of London or any major city on our own building set in 15 acres of land - we have been internet hosts for over 10 years. By having our own data centre we are able to provide bespoke configurations for your hosting needs and rapid turn-around.
Infosystems Data centre specifications:
- Backup power is catered for via two uninterruptible power supplies (APC 20 KVA with 1 hour runtime) and a diesel generators (100KVA) with two weeks of run time available on site.
- To prevent single points of failure, all elements of the electrical systems, including backup system, fully duplicated, and critical servers are connected to both the "A-side" and "B-side" power feeds. The 3 phase supply has a manual override to allow all components to run from any of the phases in the event of phase faults.
- Physical security: Physical access to the site is restricted to selected personnel. Video camera (axis) surveillance and electronic key system log all access to the site and log all access – to allow us to check who did what where and when.
- Network security deployed: firewalls multi redundant firewalls, Intrusion detection and antivirus on the firewalls.
- On-site Monitoring systems for the network and web servers. Additional off site monitoring systems are also present to monitor for failure in communications inside the data centre.
- Redundant diverse routed ISP – bandwidth supplied by BT on a 4 x 32MB barer and by Cable and Wireless on a 1 x 32 MB barer.
- In house DNS servers (4) on both ISP lines.
- Off site DNS servers (2) and backup in out DR site (20 Miles away).
- Air conditioning twin units in each server room used to keep the room cool; also be used for humidity control. Temperature is kept around 20-22 degrees Celsius. Air conditioning systems also help keep humidity within acceptable parameters. The humidity parameters are kept between 35% and 65 % Relative Humidity. Air conditioning default to “on” after any failure – set to run from separate UPS – then from the generator.
- Separate Secure server rooms for core network/shared servers and customer servers – all with separate secure access.
- Remote monitoring available to customers via customer portal.
- Remote alerting via SMS/Email of network outages to Infosystems staff.
- 24/7/365 Support for core network and customer servers where contracted.
- Line failure monitored by remote alarm and IP signalling with 24/7 callout.
- Ability to take first line support calls on behalf of the customer for web application.
